For me, starting a business was something that kind of ended up happening, not something I had the intention of doing. You so often hear stories of amazing entrepreneurs who tell you they always had that business instinct, even when they were at school they used to sell marbles or chocolate; and that wasn't me in any shape or form. It all happened incredibly naturally.

The most important versions of love and compassion are the ones we show to ourselves. We have to start there. It's not selfish or ignorant. If you don't make space for yourself to feel loved by you, the rest is impossible… you'll always end up burned-out or in a state of resentment.

I spent 20 years in executive search, and I was hired by my clients to call 'the most successful people' in the world. Bold face names in bold face organisations. It was my job to recruit them away on behalf of my clients- it would sound difficult right? I would call super successful people and try to get them to do something different. However it wasn't that hard, because despite all the success, which is why I was calling them, they were not very happy which is why they were calling me back.

By creating public scapegoats of an entire industry- politicians are doing more to harm the future growth of our nation than any other economic policy.

Older generations give their trust to experts and influencers based on who and what: credibility, qualifications, and institutional affiliations. Younger generations, by contrast, trust based on how someone makes them feel.
