I was born premature, just 1lb 14oz, and my parents were told that survival chances for babies born so premature were low, and that it was likely I would grow up with disabilities if I survived. Praise God I survived, and I'm here today to live out my dreams.

That confidence and perseverance can sometimes lead you to keep charging ahead headfirst, when what's really needed is a pause and a course adjustment. I think that's the challenge — and I talk about that in the book — when strengths get overused.

My fun statement is that if I see the same thing, three times in one week, from disparate news or information sources, I have to move quickly as it's a trend that's likely to happen.

For the first time as a species, we're truly in the dark about what's around the corner. In the past, the human brain could synthesize information and anticipate the future. But now, in an era where computational intelligence dominates innovation, no human can accurately forecast what lies ahead.

Trust is a confident relationship with the unknown. Trust isn't, at its essence, an asset or an attribute or a currency. It's a belief. It's what we believe about someone or something.
